An enormous thank you for all you did to make Victoria and Andrew's wedding breakfast so superb.

From the time we first consulted you regarding this event you showed such enthusiasm and energy and when we told you that they were living in Hong Kong you came up with inspirational ideas for the menu to reflect not only some oriental flavours but the essence of an English summers day.

Nothing was too much trouble for you and you were happy enough to have an open dialogue between us during the months, weeks and days running up to last Saturday.

I was so relieved when Sarah said that she would lay the tables the day before (when our eldest daughter was married and we used different caters, I had to put the table clothes on myself so that the flowers could be placed on them and the tables were not laid until we left for church!)

You executed our wishes perfectly in the serving of champagne and delicious canapes and guests have remarked on how professional you and your staff were then, and during the meal, and how pleasant everyone was.

As for the wedding breakfast itself, well, wow. It is no easy task catering for 150 people but the meal was delicious - the Thai soup delicately flavoured and spiced, the duck breast so tender and the lemon possett superb. The 'cheese tower' in lieu of a wedding cake was very much appreciated later in the evening. I received loads of compliments regarding the menu - full of praise for the soup, the beautifully presented main course and the space dust on the dessert. I was told more than once that it was the best wedding breakfast they had had and you introduced one guest to scallops and he was won over! I have enclosed some of the written comments I received this week.

You deserve to bask in their praise and John and I are full of admiration for you. We have always enjoyed our visits to The Fox and Goose and delighted in the day that The Fox and Goose was able to come chez nous.

Victoria and Andrew are back in Hong Kong now (honeymoon in a few weeks time in the Sates) but will be able to reflect on how superbly you played a major part in making their day so memorable.

Thank you for the 22nd May. It was a truly fantastic day. Everything ran so smoothly. The standard of service that you and your team offered us was truly sensational and many guests commented on this and the outstanding quality of the food.

When we decided to have our wedding reception in a marquee, my first thought was I hope the Fox and Goose will cater for us! And, when they said that they would be happy to, even when we asking for a sit down three course meal for 275 people, I was delighted! A delicious menu was agreed upon which suited the occasion and summer weather, starting with lobster terrine and cumulating in the most delicious lemon pannacotta, with stardust adding a fun twist! On the wedding day, the catering ran like clock work and all 275 guests were served beautifully presented, scrumptious food. Not only was the delicious wedding breakfast commented on by many guests, but also the hot and cold canapes which were served immediately upon arrival at the reception. A number of guests said that they were the best canapes they had ever tasted and the chicken with guacamole went down particularly well! Throughout the day from arrival and serving of canapes, through to the cheeseboard and fresh bread selection in the evening, the waiting staff were friendly and efficient, and I felt able to relax and enjoy my day, confident that everything was perfectly prepared and would be delivered to the highest standard. My only regret is that I didn't have an opportunity on the day to properly thank Paul and Sarah for everything they and their band of waitresses and kitchen staff did, both in the lead up to the wedding and of course on the day. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone the Fox and Goose for private catering, and if they can deliver an outstanding gastro experience for a wedding party of 275, I'm sure no culinary challenge is too much for them! I'm now desperately trying to think up an excuse for another big occasion so that we can have them cater for it!

Many thanks to you and Sarah and your team for providing such a splendid meal (one couple from Sevenoaks wrote "we couldn't have eaten better in a top London restaurant") and for making the whole exercise run so smoothly - and with such cheerfulness. We are firm believers that if the catering is perfect on a special occasion, everything else will follow. Our daughter’s wedding day was no exception to this, with the Fox and Goose team pulling out all the stops to make the day a dream come true.

The team provided a faultless combination of refined catering and personal consultancy. Prior to the day, we were consulted on the menu and were able to discuss special requirements and express personal preferences. On arrival at the reception venue, guests were greeted with Pimms and an irresistible selection of canapés. For the breakfast, a four-course meal was served that was not only truly delicious but elegantly presented. The Fox team bent over backwards to ensure each and every individual was pleased, in particular vegetarians and those with other dietary requirements, for whom an equally agreeable meal was served. The mouth-watering assortment of cheeses and fresh bread presented later on meant that everyone was satiated throughout the evening when all the boogying had built up an appetite!

The day flowed seamlessly and was more perfect than we ever could have imagined. This is due in large part to the Fox and Goose team, who were, without exception, smartly dressed, unerringly professional, consistently helpful and above all cheerful. We would not hesitate to recommend their catering services for any occasion. The amount of thought put into every detail and finishing touch is truly remarkable and the end results are second to none. Thank you Paul and Sarah!
